Senior Fund Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fund Administrator to join our Fund Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of investment funds and related entities, ensuring high-quality client service, regulatory compliance, and efficient day-to-day fund administration. The role involves working closely with investment managers, investors, auditors, legal advisers, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of investment funds, SPVs, limited partnerships and other global business entities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the incorporation and administration of fund structures, including closed-ended and open-ended funds.
  • Prepare and review board packs, board minutes, written resolutions and other corporate documentation.
  • Organise and attend board and shareholder meetings.
  • Process investor subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls and distributions.
  • Maintain statutory records, investor registers and corporate documentation.
  • Prepare and process payment instructions while ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Coordinate KYC/AML and customer due diligence requirements for investors and counterparties.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, legal advisers, custodians, investment managers and regulatory authorities.
  • Support the preparation and review of NAVs, financial statements and investor reporting in collaboration with the Fund Accounting team.
  • Monitor statutory and regulatory filing deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable legislation and FSC requirements.
  • Resolve client queries promptly while maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Review work completed by junior administrators and provide coaching and guidance where required.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and risk management standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Management or a related discipline.
  • ACCA, ACA, ICSA/CGI or other relevant professional qualification (completed or in progress) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Fund Administration within a Management Company in Mauritius.
  • Good knowledge of the Companies Act, Financial Services Act, Securities Act, AML/CFT regulations and FSC requirements.
  • Experience with private equity, venture capital, hedge funds or collective investment schemes is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of corporate secretarial practices and fund structures.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with fund administration systems is an advantage.
